Back again with another gift.
This is the one that I mentioned would be hard to give up. I was planning on giving this as a retirement gift, but now I'm a little hesitant. Do you think it looks too feminine for a man? He is such a lover of art--not that I think this qualifies as art, only that I think he might enjoy something out of the ordinary. But I always feel so shy about giving my handmade things away. Be honest, because you know it wouldn't hurt my feelings a bit to *have to* keep it for myself!

This sooo qualiies as art!! I think that it would be a great gift for anyone at anytime!
But it might be a bit feminine, so there is one good "excuse" to keep it.
You make such lovely things that you should never be shy about giving handmade!! I love to give and receive handmade gifts!

It's really beautiful! I don't know this man, so if he isn't a pastel or pink fan, he might be more inclined to dark rich primary colors. But as a lover of art, he might love the bright colors. I personally think you should send it to me!

keep it.
make him another (do you have time????). use mostly geometrics and not so many florals. the florals make me think more woman than man, but then again, if he's married, i am sure it will find a happy home. well, at least, if fatty came home with this, i'd just look at him and say, "that's for me. thank you very much."
i told you i adore it, right? 'cause i do.

It's really lovely. The colors are fantastic, maybe that center small floral is a tad feminine, but I think what makes it more "girly" is the swirls. Maybe cross hatching or zigzags would be more masculine? It really is gorgeous, though.

I think it's lovely, bright and cheerful! I just asked my husband and he said "I like it. It's girly, but it's a pillow and who doesn't need a pillow? It's cute." I think if your receiver says the word "cute" you are safe ;-)

I say give it to him. So often we second guess ourselves! Make a card. Find a photo of a hammock outdoors among flowers and add a photo of your pillow to the pillow position on the hammock. Inside add a note "Enjoy a colorful retirement"! He will appreciate your unique, one-of-a-kind, and very thoughtful gift.

I adore the pillow, so if you decide it's too girly, I'd be glad to take it off your hands ; ) Personally, I love Paula's idea. I'm sure he will love your from the heart gift that most certainly qualifies as art!

I love your pillow, but is has a little girly touch. But wouldn't this be a great excuse to keep it and to make another one?
